Defined by broad horizontal timber planks and a deep, boxed frame, the Kings bed brings a grounded, architectural presence to any bedroom. Rather than resting on a standard shallow boxspring, your mattress sits recessed within thick hardwood side rails and matching planked end panels—cradling it inside a substantial lumber surround that feels permanent and purpose-built.
Handcrafted entirely from 100% solid hardwood, the design lets the rich character of real lumber take center stage. The broad plank construction across the headboard and frame showcases sweeping, uninterrupted runs of natural wood grain. The solid lumber backboard is set at a comfortable angle to provide firm, supportive backrest comfort for reading, while the deep recessed border keeps bedding tucked neatly in place for a clean, structural silhouette.
The visual weight and raw grain of the hardwood invite rich, textural layering. Balance the frame’s strong horizontal lines with tactile contrasts—a chunky wool knit throw draped across the foot end, relaxed washed linen pillowcases, and deep, earthy accent cushions—turning this substantial timber frame into a warm, cabin-inspired sanctuary built for deep rest.

Personalise your bed design
We offer 4 distinct leg styles for most beds (depending on the design these may not always be an option). Changing the leg style uniquely transforms the appearance and is your personal choice with no change in structural integrity. The curved option is a popular option to help avoid bumping toes, which is especially helpful in smaller bedroom spaces.
What makes our beds so unique ?
A carpentry technique that has been around from as early as 2500BC. A proven method of strength and durability.
Buy once and be reassured your bed will stand the test of time. We spend about 1/3 of our lives in bed, so it must be built to last.
A premium product can be affordable if you buy direct from the manufacturer. Without the middlemen, there's extra savings.
Twice as thick & wide as the average bed slat with each and every slat being individually screwed in position for extra durability.
You may have been led to believe that sprung slats are better? Let us tell you why this is misleading and incorrect.
Each bed lovingly made to order with a focus on quality and speed. Delivered to the US and beyond in days not months.
Buying a "wooden" bed is a sustainable choice. Our softwoods are always sourced from responsibly managed forests that meet strict sustainability standards.
We believe in only ever using solid wood. Preserving the natural integrity of hardwood timber is a priority over any savings.
Naturally dense and from slow growing trees, our 100% solid hardwood bed frames are built to last a century in busy family homes.

Yes, always, as every bed is handcrafted to order so this is never an issue. Our manufacturing process is very unique. In fact we are yet to find a bed manufacturer who can do this faster than us - in the world! However we do charge a premium for speed as it’s a bit more complicated, so do check our delivery calendar.
Yes. Buying a “wooden” bed is already a sustainable choice due to the fact that nearly all our timber is sourced from sustainable suppliers where the forests are re-planted. As a company, we are very passionate about the environment and strive to lower our carbon footprint, with such efforts as only using 100% renewable electricity and providing electric car charging points in our car park. We also work with the International Tree Foundation (ITF) to plant new trees in Africa to support local communities. You can also donate to this effort on the checkout and our live tree counter is shown at the top of the website.
